Automation
Celerion leverages automation for enhanced bioanalytical methodologies
At Celerion we take a stepwise approach to determining the appropriate application for our automation capabilities. There are many factors which would drive the use of automation, and we evaluate each project to identify whether automation could be leveraged for any of the following benefits:
- Increased throughput
- Optimization of resources
- Assay robustness
- Traceability of data
- Reproducibility of results
Advanced instrumentation to address key steps in bioanalytical processes
Our instrumentation includes Hamilton STARline, Tecan EVO, Caliper Sciclone and Opentrons Flex which we use for:
- Worklist-controlled sample transfer from cryovials to plates
- Constant pressure monitoring for the detection and reporting of pipetting errors
- High-throughput plate processing for all types of immunoassays (ELISA, ECLIA, fluorescence, AlphaLISA, Gyrolab, and radioimmunoassay)
- High-throughput plate processing for LC-MS/MS applications (Protein precipitation, Liquid-Liquid Extraction, Solid Phase Extraction)
- Dedicated robots for specialized applications:
- Spiking of calibrators and quality control samples
- Sample preparation of whole blood for flow cytometry
A high level of standardization in processes and user training, combined with the availability of redundant systems, guarantees the rapid execution of bioanalytical studies to meet our customers’ requirements.
